Research Interests
Landscape archaeology, cultural heritage, ethno-cultural norms of the Guddiri people in Northeastern Nigeria and archaeology of Kasar Hausa.
PhD Thesis
An archeological investigation of Guddiri landscape, northern Nigeria (provisional working title)
My doctoral research focuses on the development of the Guddiri Landscape between AD 1100 - 1800, a period when the territory was under two empires – Borno empire and Sokoto caliphate.
